Autumn Term 2018 to Spring Term 2019

Healthy Snacks in School

For several years St. Mary's has held 'Healthy School' status and a big part of maintaining this is to promote the importance of long term and sustainable living. St. Mary's has a healthy snack policy and pupils are asked to bring in healthy snacks from Monday to Thursday, with a treat on Friday. Please see our school prospectus for full details.

A 'Healthy Snack Audit Week' takes place in the Spring Term and Mrs Chung will speak to the whole school about the importance of eating healthily and limiting the amount of sugary and fatty products in our diets. Pupils' snacks will be monitored and assessed for their nutritional value during this week and healthy options will be suggested.

Milk & Fruit Scheme

St. Mary's offers a piece of fruit every day to Key Stage 1 pupils. Parents must order their child's milk through Cool Milk for Schools. Milk is provided to pupils free of charge - up until their fifth birthday, after which a small charge is made. Please see our school prospectus for full details.
